Hiking and bicycle tours

Our family enterprise started in Visegrád in 1983 by renting a restaurant. Now our firm - holding two restaurants, a hotel and a travel agency offering services - is a significant tourism-related undertaking in the settlement. Besides the founder, all the members of his family work in the firm, and most of our colleagues have been helping the continuous development of our firm for 10-20 years. Our town is one of the most favoured tourist destinations in the country. Most of the visitors come here just for a one-day trip; however, thanks to the hotel expansion of the recent years, more and more people spend more and more days in Visegrád, the small town with natural and historical values. The Danube, the Pilis mountain around the town, the special natural surroundings as well as the historic importance of the town (it was the royal seat in the Middle Ages, later the summer residence of the kings), all make it possible to arrange programmes which can rarely be found anywhere else on our continent. These special possibilities combine with the multifarious activities of our firm, as we can provide all the programmes for our guests. This fact ensures favourable prices, good quality and a homely atmosphere for our guests, who appreciate that the owners and the staff they meet on arrival are at their disposal during their stay, which facilitates the fulfilment of their wishes and the solution of their problems. We arrange special programmes which exploit the natural of surroundings, the facilities of our firm and the specialist skills of the staff. We receive our guests arriving by car in the hotel, those arriving by plane at the airport and those arriving by train at the railway station and transport them to our hotel.

The hills surrounding our settlement, thanks to the companies controlling the woods of the Pilis and Börzsöny mountains, offer excellent possibilities for shorter or longer walking tours. The trails with signs ensure that the visitors with the help of the maps of the trails can stroll safely in the woods even without a local leader. Bicycle tours can also be arranged in the woods. In deciduous woods, it is hardly possible to cycle; here, however, there are tarred trails, so cyclists can use even their normal bikes in the woods; but there are dirt tracks as well for mountain biking – all these a long way from vehicular traffic. We arrange bicycle tours along roads as well but in this case the fact that in some sections there are no cycle tracks has to be taken into account, i.e. cycling should take place on the vehicular road. Most tours are planned from the hotel and back, so our free bus transfer is only rarely needed, mostly in the case of walking tours. The tours are created according to the needs of the groups. The needs concerning the level of difficulty sometimes vary even within a group. Lunch can be provided on request as we are licensed to arrange outdoor events as well. We often conjure a restaurant in the middle of the forest. Although the trails are very well signposted, we recommend our tour leaders, who know not only the roads but the flora and fauna as well.
